Emergency Car Kit

Having a baby is great, exhausting but great. You see on those days when you have to rush out of the house for some last minute engagement or if you just totally forgot that you needed to be somewhere, packing a diaper bag can take forever. Even then, you'll still probably forget something. That's why I put together a baby emergency car kit - to have everything I may need on-the-go, just in case.

Here's what's in my kit:

1. Diapers - I packed about 4 or 5, which is about a full day's use for Ky

2. Pack of baby wipes

3. Powder, lotion, Vaseline, Vick's vapour rub, baby wash, cotton swabs, Desitin, baby oil

4. Change of clothes - onesie, socks, bibs, wash cloth - make sure to keep updating the size of clothes as your baby grows

5. Blanket - one that can double as towel if need be

6. Snacks - Pedialyte popsicle (used as a juice), puff snacks, teething biscuits, baby food pouch - I keep everything in a reused puffs container

7. Extra formula and nursing bottle

8. Plastic bags - for the dirty clothes

9. Changing mat - don't wanna get those car seats messy

10. Extra pacifier and clip

The pacifier I use has its own cover but if you don't have a cover you can use a clean baby food container and lid, they make great storage containers for small items as well as homemade baby food

11. Mini first aid kit - bandaids, gauze, antibacterial wipes

12. Extra medicines and syringes - Calpol, Panadol, allergy meds, nose drops

13. Extra toy and teether

14. Hand sanitizer

15. Kleenex tissues - for the stuffy noses

16. Sunscreen - remember to reapply at least every hour for maximum protection

17. Bug spray - in Cayman, with Zika as a threat, we need to protect our little ones - Foster's has Go! Insect Repellant for CI $3.99

18. Extra neck support cushion for car seat

19. Water - make sure to store in a glass container

20. A storage container to keep everything in - you could also use and extra diaper bag or a carry-on luggage
